Hello, it's me again, (Margaret).
I'm trying to improve on my blogging skills, I thought I'd peruse the pages of other photo bloggers. I'm not looking to steal ideas, but to actually interact with other people's pages. I wanted to join this "community" of photo bloggers in the OKC metro. The reason I ""'ed community is because of what I came across was no community but listing after blown out highlights listing after aqua colored chevron patterned listing. The blogs were no more than a "See the cute family I shot this week" photo list. They were all the same. There were no stories about the families, or how the shoot was special. Not one. Ok, maybe one. There were definitely none that were looking to have a conversation with their readers. In fact, I can't imagine that they have any readers per se, only people that check in to see photos of themselves on a pretty, hip chic photo blog. Maybe I'm the one that needs to learn what a photo blog is. I figure that it's more than just a gallery. I already have one of those. Shouldn't it be where your readers come to see what's up, maybe learn something and maybe join in on a conversation? I think a blog should be about giving more than you take. It's more about the readers than the writer. I think I just contradicted myself, oops. Want to see some great photo blogs? Go here, here, and here. These are some of my faves. Guess I'll just keep reading. As for community in the 405, maybe I'm it. I'd love to send some linklove to your sweet musings. Feel free to come knock on my blog door and join in on the conversation. To make sure I'm doing this right, here is your photo you came to see.
